Bissel Carpet Cleaner
Bissel Carpet Cleaners – Unbeatable Portable Range
BISSEL has behind them over 125 years of carpet cleaning experience. Their products and machines are available for various types of carpet stains. You could say they truly understand the value of your investment in carpeting and provide the professional expertise needed to maintain your carpets.
There appears to be a serious dearth of carpet cleaner testing reviews and Consumer Reports hasn’t done a review since 2003. We decided to do a quick review of some of the more popular Bissell carpet cleaners to find out how they are really faring in the market.
In the portable carpet cleaner range the Bissel SpotBot has gotten very good reviews. Its strongest feature is that you simply need to park it over the stain and the agitator brush works on it entirely on its own. While it also doubles as a regular carpet cleaner reviews show it is best used as a spot cleaner, with praise for its feature of leaving behind very little residue. The downside is that it is more expensive than others in its range but reviews show that it is still quite popular.
The Bissel QuickSteamer PowerBrush gets good reviews as a light duty, tight budget cleaner. It is also considered more reliable than other models in the same price range. The cleaner is best used on small areas of carpet and rugs because of its half gallon tank. There are reports that it leaves carpets damper in comparison to Hoover’s SteamVac, but leakage reports show it fares better than other models.
The Bissel Cordless Spot Lifter 2X handheld received mixed reviews, with some users praising it as especially handy for pets and others decrying it as a leaky machine.
Portable carpet cleaners of the small type seem to generally get poor reviews as the owners feel they are not very good at manual scrubbing and that they tend to leave the carpets in a damp condition. However, most users seem to agree that Bissels Little Green is a cut above the competition, but the highest praise goes to the SpotBot. Sites like Amazon.com, Target.com, About.com and Epinions.com give the Bissel little green carpet cleaner one of the best ratings at 3.5 stars.
On the whole it can safely be said that Bissel carpet cleaners have fared rather well in comparison to the competition, though in all fairness, Hoover are a legend in their own right.
Modern technology being what it is cleaning technology is getting better by the month and you should not dismiss the contribution that the detergents play in the cleaning, the machine is only as good as the cleaner, correct?
